Brian Grieves.

After studying sculpture at Wolverhampton College of Art and the University of Wisconsin, I came to live in London in 1971, working as a medallic sculptor and teacher. In 1986 I became interested, as a football fan, in the way a moment could be explored and analyzed with replayed videotape. I set out to see if I could copy such moments in three dimensions. Something that (I thought at the time) was beyond a computer. The work is cast in bronze and painted. The aim is to produce a three-dimensional illustration that has the intensity of a colour photograph.
